He was an Algerian politician and the leader of Front of socialist forces (FFS) party ,he was born on October 8,1926 in Ait yahia , and grow up in berber speaking family .he studies law in Algeria and later in Paris , During the Algeria war of independence (1954-1962) against France, Ait Ahmed was a member of the National Liberation Front (FLN) , Due to the ideological difference he split from the party to form the FFS in 1963which advocate for a more socialist and democratic Algeria.
